Special Stammtisch Itinerary 5/12:
Pickwick, Zug 6pm to 7.30pm
Train to Küssnacht 7.30pm-8.00pm
Küssnacht am Rigi Klausabig 8.15pm - 9.15pm
Chris Reid has recommended we visit the Klausjagen Küssnacht 2024.
The parade starts at 20:15 on Thursday, 5 December. I suggest we meet for drinks at the usual 18:00 at one of the usual two venues adjacent to Zug station, Pickwick.Then take the following train to Küssnacht.Illuminated by candles, figures in white robes scurry through the dark alleys. They prance around and kneel before acquaintances. On their heads, they wear an iffele that resembles a bishop's miter. It looks as if illuminated church windows are walking through the village. We will watch the parade as it proceeds up Bahnhofstrasse from the traffic circle in the middle of town. (in orange on the attached parade route map)
