President: Andy Habermacher
Andy was born in Birmingham, England, to a Swiss father and English mother. He moved to Switzerland in 1987 to find his fortune and despite not finding it has settled here and lives in Luzern and is father of two children. He is a Certified Master Coach and his business is based in Zurich and focused on executive coaching and training to international businesses with a focus on neuroscience. He has written one book and is currently working on two others. In his free time Andy does plenty of sport: karate and athletics (he gave up rugby a few years ago because of old age!) and he skis regularly in winter. |

Vice President & Newsletter Editor: Muthana KubbaMuthana was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. He was not quite 18 when he won a scholarship to study engineering in the UK and returned home in 1962 with a PhD from Imperial College, University of London in communication, electrical engineering. After finishing his national service at the Iraqi Air Force, he joined the staff of the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, where he stayed until 1978 when he emigrated to Switzerland, just before Saddam Hussein came to power. He founded a successful trading company in Steinhausen, whose management he has now passed over to his son. Muthana is married with three grown up children and five grandchildren. He enjoys skiing in the winter and boating in the summer as well as cycling all year round. |

Secretary: Adrian LüdiAdrian has been living in Zug for the past 12 years and particularly likes its international touch. He was born in Bern but grew up in Kriens. After graduating from St. Gall University with a master in International Relations, he joined the Swiss Bank Corporation in 1984 and continued to work in banking since then. Over the span of his carrier in finance, he worked in various client-facing positions in investment and private banking in Melbourne, Hong Kong and Singapore. He returned to Switzerland in 2000 and worked at the UBS in Zürich in the Asian-Pacific (APAC) division within Wealth Management. Adrian is married and has one daughter. During his spare time he enjoys jogging, mountain-biking and golfing but does not forget the pleasure of having a good glass of wine with a good meal. |

Treasurer: Max LeyherrMax is German and came to Switzerland in 2008. He lives together with his wife Tanja and his son Finn. Max studied technically oriented business administration and holds a PhD in economics. His career led him from strategic consultancy to entrepreneurial engagements of his own in the field of bio-technology, software / internet and alternative energy production. He is a "hands-on" entrepreneur who works with technical partners to develop their projects and inventions into solid businesses. Max loves the mountains, enjoys sailing and is very fond of meeting new people. He considers a good glass of wine together with a nice card- or chess-game to be a wonderful way to fill his spare time. |

Events Coordinator: René WeltiRené has spent most of his life in the USA, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, MBA from the University of Connecticut and has lived in the Atlanta/Florida area for the past 22 years. He has a 40+-year tourism marketing career in executive positions at Trans World Airlines, Florida Division of Tourism and President of America Live, Inc. With two grown children living in Europe and one now relocating to Australia, he and his wife now live in Lucerne. René specializes in outdoor trips, is a certified Swiss hiking guide and plans to offer American English speaking guided day hike and bike trips departing from the Lucerne train station. He is also a master's swimmer, Swiss Bad-Meister and gives private swimming lessons. |
Membership Coordinator: Heinz SchallerHeinz was born in 1959, he lives and works in central Switzerland. He is a qualified goldsmith, and has been running his own jewellery company for the past four years. He studied art design at the advanced arts school for Jewellery in Schwäbisch Gmund (Germany) . Through his activity, stretching over several years, in the high end of the luxury watch- and jewellery world, he has acquired first hand knowledge of it and knows his way around in all major international exhibitions. Through his travels he had come to know and appreciate different peoples and cultures. Since joining the IMCZ in 2009, he had found that it enabled him to promote making contacts between persons of international background and central Switzerland. He very much appreciates the weekly Stammtisch where the word meets over a light drink and a good chat. |

Stammtisch Coordinator: Andrew JoinesAndrew was born in Salisbury, England, and grew up in England and South Africa. He spent 20 years working in Logistics before deciding to have a career change and in 2009 he passed his ski instructing exams with the British Association of Snow-Sport Instructors (BASI). He has been working in Hoch Y-Brig for the 2010 - 2011 season. He came to Switzerland in January 2010 with his now-fiancee and they hope to get married sometime this year. His main hobbies are skiing, photography, travel, keeping fit and golf. |
