He studied languages in Geneva, Lugano and London, joined Citibank in Zurich, had stays with Citibank in New York and Rochester N.Y. In 1978 he joined UBS in Zug and became member of the IMCZ in 1980, Vice President in 1982 and President in 1983. He lives in Oberägeri and has 5 children (in 1986 even 6). He is an active member of the Swiss Alpine Club, enjoys hiking, climbing, skiing, ski mountaineering and cycling. He loves classical music and concerts. |

Co-Secretary: Hans AustenHans Austen was born 1905 in Leipzig, Germany. Being Jewish he fled with his family in the mid-thirties to Sweden and 1940 adventurously to the United States. In New York he founded the Austen Display Company. In 1970 he returned to Europe with his wife Sulamith and lived as retiree in Zug. He died on April 19, 1992. | |

Membership Coordinator: David HarrisDavid was a dedicated, long time member of the club, having remained active in it since the early eighties. He served on the board as Membership Coordinator for thirteen consecutive years from 1986 through 1998. Then, in 1996, he took on the additional responsibility of editing the newsletter, a function which he exercised for six consecutive years through 2002. Starting in 2000 he also doubled as Vice President, a post which he continued to hold through 2003. He was a regular contributor to the newsletter, writing the selections column. |
