IMCZ auf die Piste!
Get ready to hit the slopes and enjoy a weekend of sports and camaraderie! The IMCZ is excited to announce our ski event in Davos, Switzerland.
Club Sports Editor and avid skier, Joseph Dow has proposed an IMCZ ski event in Davos on the weekend of 16/17 March 2024. This has been adopted as an official IMCZ event.
Davos is a bustling mountain town offering a wide range of slopes and tracks for alpine skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers, sledders, and cross-country skiers as well as spas and wellness centres.
Members and friends can come either or both days. They can opt to stay overnight in Davos or nearby Wiesen or Klosters. Zug to Davos by car takes just under two hours, and by public transport approximately three hours.
A group dinner will be arranged on Saturday night, offering a great opportunity for members and friends to come together, socialize, and enjoy a fine meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Be sure to tick that option in the registration form to provide the restaurant with attendance numbers.
Accommodation, meals and refreshments, travel and lift tickets are left to the members to book and pay on their own. Joseph can advise on where to stay, how to book lift tickets in advance, etc. He recommends the Steigenberger as a luxurious and well-located choice. It may be a possible location of our group dinner and place where several of us will be staying.
A time to meet in Davos will be set, probably at a bakery/cafe near one of the lift stations. A time will be set to meet at a certain place on the mountain mid-morning for latecomers.
