3rd September – IMCZ Summer Party

Join us for Texas BBQ, Country Music and Dancing in an Idyllic Setting!

12:00 to 18:00, Siehbachsaal, Chamerstrasse 33, 6300 Zug.

This party is the highlight of the IMCZ calendar. Calling all members to participate!

Close your eyes and imagine. Delicious ribs sizzling on the barbeque, golden corn bread warmed, apple pie appetizing. All manner of America drinks on hand to quench thirst and tantalize taste buds. Genuine Country and Western bands, line dancing and games galore ensure a good time for you wannabe cowgirls and cowboys. Western decorations and dress code will immerse the guests in an absolute unforgettable Western experience.

A Mouth-Watering Menu Awaits You:

Apéro

Corn bread, corn fritters,

Bowls with spicy salsa

Cheddar melt ("queso dip") with jalapeños

Texan beans dip (some with bacon, some without)

Triangle nacho chips and other chips (not crisps)

Hot dog station (only for kids), includes chips or fries

 with ketchup, mustard and cocktail sauces

 

Main Course

Brisket (with carrots, onions and other vegetables)

American style BBQ ribs (pork) with barbecue sauce

Pulled beef with barbecue sauce

 or small hamburgers

BBQ chicken drumsticks & thighs

Chili con carne (and chili sin carne for vegetarians/vegans)

Baked potatoes with cheddar (some with bacon, some with no cheese for vegans)

Caesar salads (with croutons)

Cole slaw

 

Dessert

American-style cheesecakes (lime flavour, plain

and with raspberries), apple pie, vanilla

ice cream and fruit platters with pineapple,

melon and strawberries

Lemon, or fruit sorbets (dairy-free)

 

Event Organisers and Makers:

• Erection of tents, set up of games, bar: IMCZ own crew lead by Bill Lichtensteiger and Claden Mandri. More volunteers from the membership are welcome and needed. Please contact Bill to join his crew. The success of the party depends on timely set up.

  • Organisation of food catering, decoration and line dancing by the renowned Valerie Gitter, Private Party with her competent team of helpers. Line dancing featuring the famed Tia Fueter of Skippy Dancers. Volunteers from the IMCZ membership are welcome and needed.
  • Management of the bar by the experienced IMCZ Members Timo Pitkänen and Claden Mandri. A wonderful array of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic , will be provided and charged at very reasonable prices. Some volunteers from the IMCZ membership have already signed up. More are welcome and needed. Please contact Timo Pitkänen to sign up for bar duty.
  • Management of the raffle is in the experienced hands of IMCZ Members Markus Bütler, who has done us proud in previous years by procuring great prizes and donations. Please donate, provide prizes or suggest to your friends or employer to donate.

• Collation of the C&W Band from local and international talents, courtesy of Ron Sumners and Bill Lichtensteiger featuring at least Doug (Australian) - guitar, vocals, Steve (American) - keyboard, vocals, Giani (Swiss) / drums, Joe (American) - guitar, vocals  as well as surprise guest stars. Their repertoire will span American country, blues, blue grass and rock. IMCZ members have compiled an impressive and varied play list. We expect the band will play many of these.
